VaRa Garden Design created this stunning family garden for their clients in Suffolk, incorporating sociable spaces, relaxed patios, interesting journeys and playful zones.
They designed a formal lawn with an avenue of cherry trees leading to a smaller lounging patio with log fire, a deck under the willow tree for children’s play and shady seating, and then onto the clients’ new bespoke garden studio.
The beautiful cherry trees (Prunus ‘Accolade’) were anchored using the Platipus Rootball Fixing System with Plati-Mat. As there were two very large established trees already in the garden it was important that the newly planted ones blended in without stakes or guy wires. Planting the trees with the Platipus systems gave the clients ‘instant’ height and structure, leaving the rest of the planting to establish gradually. Fantastic work Vanessa Hoch and Rachel Pocock.
