Another great project for Platipus securing a large Chilean Wine Palm, Jubaea Chilensis, at the Packington Estate in Islington, North London. This huge palm, was probably the largest planted outdoors in the UK, weighed a staggering 10,000kg with a total height of 6m. A mobile crane lifted the palm into the planting hole, where the Deadman Tree Anchoring System was installed. The palm tree now sits proudly in the centre of the estate, where the residents can both admire it from their balconies or walk underneath it in the play area.
