Want to create a new access road, but don’t want to encroach onto adjacent land?
This was the case just outside Maidstone, Kent during construction of a new industrial estate near junction 5 on the M20.
To protect the ancient woodland while widening the road, a solution was proposed using Platipus Percussion Driven Earth Anchors (PDEA®), geotextile matting, and Plati-Drain® to stabilise the slope.
This provided a cost-effective permanent solution that will revegetate to provide a biodiverse and aesthetic finish, whilst minimising encroachment onto adjacent land.
See how this was achieved in the case study coming soon!
